In accordance with Royal Decree 63/2001, of 26 January, approving the Statutes of the Institute of Fiscal Studies, the Inland Revenue School is responsible for: advising and collaborating with the bodies of the Administration in charge of the entrance exams for selecting civil servants for bodies attached to the Ministry of the Economy with functions of administration and management of Inland Revenue.
Access to Public Service, in the sphere of the Ministry of the Economy, is achieved by passing a selection process which generally consists of two successive and complementary phases.
The first, called oposición, assesses the knowledge of applicants of a set of subjects through various selective oral and written tests, the number, difficulty and content of which vary depending on the department or scale applied for.
