Fiscal balances of the Autonomous Communities

In the field of regional funding, the IEF has a specific line of research on the methodology for quantification of the fiscal balances of the regions. By drawing up fiscal balances the intention is to estimate, for each government level, the total taxes borne by the public, in comparison to the spending levels benefiting it. The aim of this line of research is to clarify the existing range of methods used for calculating these balances in order to obtain a suitable overview of the pattern of territorial distribution of public income and spending.
