Access

While the main function of the Library is to attend the needs of the staff of the Institute of Fiscal Studies, it also provides access to its holdings for anyone who needs to consult them, whether from the university sphere and carrying out research or writing a thesis, or working on something relating to their professional activity (staff of the Ministry of the Economy or other administrations) or any person who needs to consult a particular text, from the public or the private sector (companies, professional associations, etc.). This does not affect the measures which ensure the safety and condition of the holdings. There are different levels of rules for loans or access, depending on the type and the background of the user.

Opening hours:

Opening hours are from 9 am to 2 pm and from 3.30 to 8 pm, from Monday to Friday, except August, when it opens in the morning only.

Other requirements:

People who are not employees of the IEF, the different bodies of the Ministry of the Economy, or students of the UNED Associated Centre at the IEF, must request authorisation for access from the Director of the library.
